Earthquake at San Diego Zoo leads elephants to form ‘alert circle’ to protect their young

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park captured the herd’s defensive formation on camera as a 5.2 earthquake ruptured in the region sending shock-waves coursing through the elephant enclosure and across Southern California.
