OK, this is ridiculous.
Anybody know what the record for interceptions in a quarter is?
I might be watching it being set.
After Long Beach Poly free safety Vaughn Telemaque’s two picks led to the Jackrabbits’ 10-0 lead, his teammate, junior defensive lineman Iuta Tepa intercepted a pass to give Poly possession at the Carson 17-yard line with 29 seconds left in the first quarter.
This pick didn’t pay off before the end of the quarter, however, as junior quarterback Morgan Fennell got sacked for a nine-yard loss on the next play.
