“Bring on the Night.” Sting. A&M.; AAD (analog recording). Sting’s “The Dream of the Blue Turtles” was one of the most engaging albums of 1985, and several of its songs are delivered with even more character and dynamics in this live set. Not a sound track from Sting’s concert film, this collection (available only as an English import) was mostly recorded in Europe near the end of the British singer’s jazz-accented solo tour last year. The disappointment is that key songs from the LP (including “Set Them Free”) are absent even though there was plenty of space for them on the 82-minute, double-disc CD.
