Dannie McKinney rushed for 202 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead La Sierra High School over Trabuco Hills, 41-6, in the first round of the Desert Mountain Conference playoffs Friday night at Riverside City College.
John Barnes threw to Tim Mellado with a 32-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter for the Mustangs’ only score. Trabuco Hills finishes 8-3.
La Sierra, the Sunkist League’s second-place finisher, advances to the quarterfinals next Friday against Chaminade (9-2).
