Girls’ Roundup : Flores and Tracy Lead Bolsa Grande to 42-29 Win

The Bolsa Grande High School girls’ basketball team had big performances from two players in a 42-29 Garden Grove League victory over Garden Grove Wednesday at Bolsa Grande.

Point guard Liz Flores had 22 points and forward Jennifer Tracy had 15 points and 16 rebounds. Bolsa Grande is 1-0, 5-4.

In other Garden Grove League games:

La Quinta 91, Kennedy 21--La Quinta (1-0, 8-3) set a school single-game scoring record, breaking the previous mark of 89 set against Santiago in 1985.

Los Amigos 45, Pacifica 38--Wendy Gilbert scored 10 points to lead the Lobos (1-6, 1-0).

In nonleague games:

La Mirada 44, Sonora 12--Jennifer Kretschmar scored 21 points to lead the Matadors (4-7).

San Clemente 49, Laguna Hills 27--Julie Anderson scored 11 points and Amanda Valentino 10 to lead the Tritons (5-6) at Laguna Hills (1-7).

Mission Viejo 58, Trabuco Hills 29--Jennifer Rohrit scored 18 points to lead the Diablos (11-4).

Diamond Bar 47, Anaheim 18--Bits Sirchia scored 14 points, had 8 steals and 7 steals to lead Diamond Bar (10-4) at home.
