A Los Angeles hair stylist was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of stabbing another man with his scissors following an argument at a hot tub party.
Sgt. Larry Reynolds of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said the stabbing took place shortly after 3 a.m. in a home on Morgan Road, part of exclusive Bell Canyon Estates near the Los Angeles County border.
Reynolds said other party guests reported that victim Michael McDow, 30, of Hollywood, and suspect Lance Meeks, 26, began fighting while they were in the hot tub, then continued their argument in a room of the house. McDow received multiple stab wounds to his abdomen, but Reynolds said he was treated and released Sunday morning from West Hills Hospital in Canoga Park.
Meeks was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, and his scissors were confiscated as the suspected weapon. He was being held Sunday on $5,000 bail.
