As widely predicted, former MGM/UA chief executive Lee Rich has set up shop (Lee Rich Productions) at Warner Bros., where he has a long-term, exclusive production deal, Warner Bros. president Terry Semel has announced. Both Mark Canton and Harvey Shephard--presidents of film and TV production, respectively--said they’re glad Rich is on their team. In the first deal of its kind at Warner Bros., Rich will be working on film and TV projects simultaneously. Daily Variety has reported that Orion’s senior vice president of production, Jonathan Sheinberg, will camp under Rich’s banner as president of the company, but that has not been confirmed by Warner Bros.
