Police are seeking leads in the shooting death of a 32-year-old Lemon Grove man late Sunday night.
Gregory Lee Chirrick of the 1800 block of Eldora Street was shot at 11:10 p.m. while apparently sitting on his motorcycle in the parking lot of a check-cashing business in the 300 block of El Cajon Boulevard, Detective Robert Lein said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the shots could have come from a handgun, Lein said.
An unidentified man, who heard the gunfire and called police, found the wounded Chirrick lying next to the motorcycle, Lein said.
Chirrick died at the scene.
