It was the final day of COMBAT TRAINING IN EGYPT FOR 300 KUWAITI soldiers, including a son of Kuwait’s emir. Mostly students with no previous military experience, they are the fourth batch of volunteers in the last three months to pass through Egyptian camps for crash courses in commando drills, which included 10-mile runs at dawn, hundreds of daily pushups and sit-ups and training in hand-to-hand combat. “Kuwait gave us a lot, and we feel we should give something back,” said Tamir Jabbar al Sabah, the 20-year-old son of Kuwait’s leader.
