** 1/2 Samantha Fox, “Just One Night,” EMI. Fox is a Cockney tease who’s as concerned with control as Janet Jackson, though she wields it with a sly, Madonna-esque sense of herself. Armed with a few suggestive, dance-oriented songs by producer/writers Full Force, she might just be a one-dimensional joke, but nobody’s enjoying the joke more than this pretender to Jackson’s and Madonna’s thrones.
Albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor) to five (a classic).
