Dismissal of North Charges

I bet you will not hear President Bush or any other conservative mention that Oliver North escaped prosecution on a “legal technicality.” It is ironic that North used all of the criminal defense tactics that the Bush Administration claims to want to eliminate.

It’s also too bad that poor criminal defendants, who cannot make bail and who must wear “jail blues” do not seem to get the same treatment as wealthy defendants who spend no time in custody and wear civilian and/or military attire before the courts.
