All that stood between the Alemany High girls’ soccer team and the championship match of the Hart tournament Friday was Torrance. The task proved to be too much, however, as the defending Southern Section 3-A Division champion shut out the Indians, 6-0, in a semifinal.
Alemany (8-4-1) had advanced to the semifinals by defeating San Marcos, 2-0, earlier in the day. In that match, goalie Michelle Aasen made 12 saves in recording her eighth shutout.
Tammy Alderman and Natalie Guiboa scored for the Indians, who will meet Canyon today for third place.
In a boys’ match:
San Fernando 3, Belmont 1--Hector Molina scored two goals and Fabion Galvan scored one to lead San Fernando (8-0-1) to a semifinal win in the Hart tournament. San Fernando will meet Saugus in the final today at 2 p.m.
