Boeing to Reduce 737 Production Rate: Seattle-based Boeing Co.’s Renton Division will reduce the production rate of the twin jet to 14 a month from 21 a month, beginning this October. The company cited market conditions for the change. Boeing still intends to deliver 223 of the 737 aircraft in 1992. The revision accommodates all current customer requests for delivery changes. Current production backlog on the 737 program stands at 745 airplanes.
