SANTA ANA : College Won’t Trim Its Summer School

Rancho Santiago College has reversed a decision to cut up to 27% of its summer school classes after a review of Gov. Pete Wilson’s proposed 1992-1993 state budget.
Chancellor Vivian Blevins announced this week that the school will offer a full schedule of classes this summer because Wilson’s budget proposal was not as lean on education funding as college officials expected.
As a result, the college will be able to offer as many classes as last summer, spokesman Henry Kertman said.
“The governor has proposed a solid support for community colleges in this state,” Kertman said.
