H. Ross Perot to Talk Issues on ‘Brinkley’

After announcing this week that he will run for President as an independent, billionaire industrialist H. Ross Perot turns up on the weekend talk circuit.
Sunday, Perot discusses the status of the recession and the economic recovery on “This Week With David Brinkley,” at 11 a.m. (7)(3), 10 a.m. (10)(42). Other guests on the program include Richard Darman, President Bush’s budget director, and Felix Rohatyn, senior partner, Lazard Freres & Co.
C-SPAN will carry a recent speech at the National Press Club, in which Perot outlined his “new American agenda for the ‘90s,” Sunday at 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, Democratic presidential front-runner Gov. Bill Clinton will appear Sunday at 8:30 a.m. (4)(36)(39) on “Meet the Press.”
On the entertainment front, “MGM: When the Lion Roars” is a three-part series, beginning at 5 p.m. with a repeat at 10 Sunday on TNT, that salutes the movie studio with “More Stars Than There Are in Heaven.” Concluding Monday and Tuesday at the same times, the documentary includes clips from such MGM films as “Gone With the Wind,” “Ben Hur” and “An American in Paris” as well as interviews with former MGM stars. “Star Trek’s” Patrick Stewart hosts.
