ANAHEIM — A 20-year-old man was fatally wounded Sunday in a drive-by shooting as he stood talking with a group of people on a residential street, police said.
Ubado Moraza of Anaheim was shot in the chest and pronounced dead on arrival at Western Medical Center-Anaheim, police said.
Although they have no motive for the killing, police said it may have been gang-related because Moraza and those who were with him at the time of the shooting “are known to be associated with gangs,” Police Sgt. Chet Barry said.
The shooting happened shortly after midnight in the 800 block of South Olive Street. Witnesses told police that Moraza and others were talking when several cars drove down the street. At least two shots were fired from one of the cars as they passed the group.
