Gardena Serra 69, Verdum Dei 53--The Cavaliers (20-6) pulled away early and were never challenged in the Southern Section IV-A game at El Camino College.
BOYS’ SOUTHERN SECTION V-AA
Cypress Brethren Christian 44, Palos Verdes Chadwick 43--Senior forward Scott Thomas sank a driving lay up with 13 seconds left to give the Warriors (22-8) the Southern Section V-AA title at Cypress College.
BOYS’ SOUTHERN SECTION V-A
Bel-Air Prep 52, Fontana Ambassador Christian 48--Junior guard Westley Allen scored 16 points and junior forward Bryan Sterling and freshman guard Danny Brummel added 14 points each to lead the Bruins (21-7) to the the Division V-A championship at La Verne Lutheran High.
