Two Thousand Oaks teen-agers were stabbed in a scuffle in a Newbury Park fast-food restaurant parking lot, Ventura County sheriff’s deputies said Sunday.
“We got our original call at about 10:30 Saturday night after someone took the stabbing victims to a nearby party,” Sgt. Terry Hughes said.
“Somebody at the party said, ‘Hey, we have to get you to the hospital.’ ”
One of the boys, a 16-year-old, was in the pediatric ward in stable condition at Los Robles Regional Medical Center Sunday night, the nursing supervisor said.
The other teen-ager, age 13, was treated and released early Sunday, she said.
East County Sheriff’s deputies said the incident may have been gang-related.
They are looking for three teen-age boys who witnesses said fled the scene.
