OUTLOOK
The Dons finished .500 in league play and made the playoffs last year for the first time in more than a decade. But, Eddie Powell, an All-City football and basketball star, is gone. What remains are three returning starters and Cornish, who started for two seasons before sitting out his junior year because of grades. “I call this the post-Eddie Powell era,” Kemple said. “We’ll see now if we can continue the success of winning half our games like we did when (Powell) was here.” Cornish, who averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds as a sophomore, will be a force inside and will certainly help the Dons retain success.
