* TV: It doesn’t pack the gripping testimony of the Menendez trial, but Court TV plans to telecast live this Thursday the hearing from Delaware Supreme Court in Wilmington, where Paramount Communications Inc. and Viacom Inc. are appealing a lower court’s decision favoring QVC Network Inc.’s challenge to their proposed merger. The hearing will appear during Court TV’s “Morning Session” program block, and portions will be repeated in the evening on “Primetime Justice.” While Court TV is perhaps best known for telecasting lurid criminal trials, the cable network nonetheless occasionally covers mind-numbing civil litigation.
