GIRLS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Capistrano Valley Christian Defeats Connelly, 37-30

Hayley Hall scored 15 points to help Capistrano Valley Christian defeat Connelly, 37-30, in an Academy League girls’ basketball game Friday at Capistrano Valley Christian High.
Jessica Olivier had 10 points and 19 rebounds for the Eagles (9-11, 5-2).
In another Academy League game:
Liberty Christian 42, St. Margaret’s 37--Lynlee Vaccaro had 17 points for Liberty Christian (10-9, 2-5). Jean Freeman scored 28 for the Tartans (6-9, 3-4).
In nonleague girls’ basketball:
Edison 66, Capistrano Valley 32--Marie Philman scored 19 points to lead sixth-ranked Edison (17-5). Jennifer Garret had 14 points for Capistrano Valley.
