Lapse in Logic?

My ire was raised to a surprising level upon reading the usually well written “Travel Insider” on April 9. Guest columnist James Yenckel’s “More Cutbacks Don’t Mark the End of the Line for Amtrak” was patently ridiculous. The suggestion that more luxurious accommodations on fewer trains is a good thing is the musing of an idiot. Extrapolating on this idea, perhaps someday we will have one route, running once a week, but with accommodations rivaling those available in four-star hotels. Bah!
