Auditions Scheduled for Boys Choir

Auditions will be held today and Jan. 19 for positions in the Amadeus Boys Choir, a Ventura County vocal group that performs throughout Southern California.

The auditions will be held in the music building at Moorpark College. Auditions are by appointment only, but will begin about 3 p.m. both days, said Patricia Hesselbach, choir director. For an appointment, call 648-2049.

The choir was founded six years ago, Hesselbach said. Weekly rehearsals are held at Moorpark College.

Auditions are open to boys between the ages of 8 and 14. Members perform choral selections from all periods of music. Performances are in English, Latin, French, German, Italian and Spanish, Hesselbach said.
