Wilson Contract Talks Continue

Contract talks between Coach Ron Wilson and the Mighty Ducks continue, but there doesn’t appear to be any sense of urgency to them. Wilson said he’s not concerned.

First, he has a contract for this season and is certain an extension will get hammered out. Second, if it doesn’t, he figures he’s a hot commodity now.

“Everything is leverage,” said Wilson, who coached the U.S. to the World Cup of Hockey title earlier this month and is the leading candidate to coach the 1998 Olympic team.
