The botched Don Beebe call was at the beginning of the third quarter. Where were the 49ers for the rest of the game? If you want to cry over something, cry over the fact that George Seifert didn’t have enough confidence in his team to go for the kill near the end of regulation.

Maybe, just maybe, T.J. Simers (Mr. Buffalo) will knock down his mighty Buffalo Bills in his NFL rankings this week. Hey, T.J., put them down to No. 10 or 12 where they have belonged all year. Getting ripped by two teams without a quarterback (Steelers and Dolphins) and barely getting by the Giants and Patriots . . . give us football fans a break.
Clearly, the team to beat all year has been the Green Bay Packers. Perhaps you’ve heard of them.
