Narcotics officers from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and Ventura Police Department and agents from the FBI arrested three adults and a juvenile on suspicion of possessing and selling heroin, sheriff’s officials said Saturday.
Deputies arrested Dale Michael Peterson and Ruben Matthew Woodill of Ventura, Jane Guzman Chiquito of Port Hueneme and a male juvenile early Friday evening.
In the course of the investigation, deputies said they confiscated about 18 grams of heroin valued at more than $1,800.
Sgt. Arnie Aviles said the arrests came after almost a monthlong investigation and undercover operation.
Over the past month, authorities said, deputies made several heroin purchases from Peterson, 40, a convicted felon, and Woodill, 43, out of their home on Carr Drive.
Deputies arrested Chiquito and the male juvenile after they delivered a cache of heroin to the Ventura residence, authorities said. In addition to heroin distribution, Chiquito was booked on a count of using a juvenile to assist in the sale.
Woodill is accused of selling heroin and Peterson of selling heroin and illegal possession of a loaded firearm.
All three remained in jail late Saturday.
The male juvenile was released to his mother and is scheduled to appear in juvenile court.
