Unanimous Decision
San Pedro High shut down Taft’s running game and defeated the Toreadors in the 4-A championship for the second consecutive season at the Coliseum.
The Pirates (13-1) limited Marquis Brignac to 33 yards and Sedric Hearns to 15. Steve Alvarado tried to keep Taft (12-1) in the game by completing 23 of 32 passes for 183 yards and a touchdown.

El Camino Real 42, Carson 0
KNOCKOUT
El Camino Real High forces four turnovers and Quincy Wright rushed for 172 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-0 rout of Carson in the 3-A championship game.
DeAngelo Nedd added 103 yards in six carries and a touchdown. The Conquistadores (10-4) limited Carson (6-6-2) to 94 yards in the first half and minus-three in the second.
