Flash Wins, Moves Within Point of Zodiac

The San Diego Flash scored twice in each half and beat the Zodiac, 4-0, in an A-League soccer game Friday at Southwestern College in Chula Vista.
The victory moves the Flash (8-4) within a point of the first-pace Zodiac (9-6).
Joe Cannon had 10 saves in his fifth consecutive shutout for the Flash.
His best save came when he dived to his right to stop Eddie Soto’s penalty kick.
Antonio Robles scored from about 35 yards out in the fifth minute and Carlos Cruz scored on a penalty kick in the first half for San Diego.
Nate Hetherington and Brad Smith scored in the second half.
