The City Council praised its police officers and its Youth 20/20 volunteer group last week for receiving an award from the Orange County Human Relations Council. The officers and the teenagers in the Youth 20/20 program work together to teach young children citizenship, respect and responsibility. The joint effort has helped to lower the number of juvenile misdemeanors by 25% over the past two years, police said.
