Chamber Announces Community Awards

The Camarillo Chamber of Commerce has announced its 1998 Community Awards winners, comprising individuals, businesses or clubs that have contributed to the betterment of the community.
Willis Naysmith was selected Man of the Year, and Allyson Gold was named Woman of the Year. John Huang and Dennis Hsieh were named Youths of the Year.
The Senior Award went to Kitty LaPolla. The Bread Basket was named the year’s best business. Stan Daily was named Public Servant of the Year, and Bruce Collel was cited as Educator of the Year.
Honors also went to the Ventura County Leadership Academy as Service Organization of the Year. Joanna Whipple was named Volunteer of the Year.
