The county Board of Education will honor Las Flores Middle School employee Rudy Camarena for his dedication and support of schoolchildren, officials announced. Camarena, who supervises the Capistrano Unified School District’s Center for Special Education, will receive the Outstanding Contributions to Education award at a ceremony in his honor Thursday.
