Ballet Pacifica’s New Season Will Include 2 World Premieres

Ballet Pacifica will dance two world premieres, plus two company premieres, during its three-concert 1999-2000 season at the Irvine Barclay Theatre.
The world premieres will be company ballet master Raymond Von Mason’s “Moonlight,” to be performed Oct. 29-30, and company artistic director Molly Lynch’s “A Streetcar . . . “ on May 12 and 13.
The company also will dance Choo-San Goh’s “Double Contrasts” and Balanchine’s “Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux,” both for the first time, on the March 24-25 program.
The 1999-2000 concert lineup:
* Oct. 29-30: George Balanchine’s “Valse Fantaisie” (music by Glinka); Peter Pucci’s “Myth” (John Adams); Van Mason’s “Moonlight” (Beethoven).
* March 24-25: Goh’s “Double Contrasts” (Poulenc); Monica Levy’s “Glass” (Morton Subotnick); Balanchine’s “Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux” (Tchaikovsky).
* May 12-13: Lynch’s “A Streetcar . . . “ (Michael Roth); William Soleau’s “Dream Dialogues” (Gerald Finzi); David Allan’s “Capriol Suite” (Peter Warlock).
Friday performances will be at 8 p.m.; Saturdays’ are at 2:30 and 8 p.m.
The company also will dance Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker” ballet Dec. 10-24.
