The Dana Hills High School vocal jazz ensemble won first place in the Heritage Festival International Competition in Vancouver, British Columbia. Students in the ensemble are Robert Ashley, Sean Bogseth, Jeff Brubaker, Julianna Danner, Elina Fisher, Mike LaMasa, Brittany Longdon, Megan Peo, Bennett Smith, Veronica Steele, Matt Swan and Janice Yamamoto.
Three other choirs from the Dana Point schools also participated in the contest.
