City officials are seeking residents between 15 and 18 for the Placentia Teen Team. Applications are being accepted at City Hall for seven positions for the 2000-01 school year, which begins in September.
The Teen Team meets monthly to discuss environmental concerns and to plan various presentations about conservation, recycling and ecology. Members also attend special events to help promote the idea of reducing waste.
Teens in the program earn scholarship money based on the number of hours they work and receive community service credit.
Teens have until June 9 to apply.
All those interested should call the Administration Department for an application at (714) 993-8117.
