In another league game:
Laguna Hills 13, Woodbridge 3 (5, mercy)--Justin Hallenbeck drove in seven runs with a grand slam and a three-run homer, and teammates Chris Johnson and Kevin Barnum also homered for the host Hawks (3-3, 1-0). Cole Edmondson hit a two-run homer for Woodbridge (4-2, 0-1).
In nonleague baseball:
Corona del Mar 8, Redondo Beach Redondo Union 5--Corona del Mar’s Eric Snell led off the fifth inning with a home run, breaking a 5-5 tie.
Andrew Johns had three hits and three RBIs for the Sea Kings (3-2), Snell (0-1) won in relief.
