Bergen Brunswig Corp. expanded its agreement with supermarket chain Spartan Stores, adding about $95 million in sales. The Orange-based drug wholesaler, which announced plans in March to merge with rival AmeriSource Health Corp., said it will supply pharmaceuticals to Spartan’s newly acquired Seaway Foodtown and Pharm stores. Spartan owns and operates 127 supermarkets and drugstores in Michigan and Ohio.
Trimedyne Inc., an Irvine maker of medical products, said its loss for its second fiscal quarter widened to $1.1 million, or 9 cents a share, from $765,000, or 7 cents, a year ago. Revenue rose 33% to $2 million.
