* Verizon Communications Inc., the biggest U.S. local-telephone company, agreed to pay $520 million for Telus Corp.’s directory-information service, the second- largest in Canada.
* RadioShack Corp. said it tapped Michael Newman, chief financial officer of lingerie retailer Intimate Brands Inc., as its CFO. Newman will succeed Dwain Hughes, who died this year.
* Supermarket chain Albertson’s Inc.said Chief Financial Officer Craig Olson resigned, a month after the company appointed a new CEO. The company named Senior Vice President and Controller Richard Navarro as interim CFO.
