Marin County’s median home price hit a record $739,000 in June, powered by the lowest mortgage rates in half a century.
The June median was a 5.2% increase over the $702,500 median in June 2002, the county assessor’s office reported Wednesday. The median price is middle ground, with half the homes sold costing more and half costing less. Sales also rose, with a total of 311 single family homes sold in June, up from 248 a year earlier.
