A Huntington Beach man will be sentenced this month after a jury found him guilty of four counts of possessing slot machines, officials said Friday.
According to police, Robert Bridgeman, 44, negotiated deals with business owners in Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa to set up video gambling machines at their establishments.
An investigation was launched in December 2002 after machines were found in Express Donuts on Garfield Avenue in Huntington Beach, police said.
Bridgeman, whose trial was at West Justice Center in Westminster, is to be sentenced April 29.
