It must have taken a lot of courage for Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Katherine Mader to excuse herself from a case involving questionable testimony from two police officers (“Conundrum,” Metropolis, March 28). A stronger ego would have dismissed the idea that he or she was biased against them.
