Lack of Faith

The Feb. 15 story, “Faith-Based Plan Lacks Funds, Ex-Official Says,” confirms what I always suspected about President Bush’s faith-based initiative -- that its promise amounted to nothing more than a bribe to the religious community in exchange for votes.
Now that Bush doesn’t need their votes, the Christian community can join the children (No Child Left Behind), the poor, the disabled, the police, the farmers and the Native Americans (2005 budget) and learn what he really thinks about them.
