Teenager Is Killed in Drive-By Shooting

A 16-year-old was fatally shot while walking with a friend in Long Beach early Sunday morning, police said.
De’Angilo Montalvo was walking near Cherry Avenue and East Market Street about 1:30 a.m. when a dark-colored compact car approached, said Officer Greg Schirmer. Words were exchanged, and a suspect in the vehicle fired multiple shots, Schirmer said.
Montalvo died at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Anyone with information is asked to call (562) 570-7244.
