Regarding “Starry-Eyed From a Fire in the Sky” [Aug. 30], when I’ve rhapsodized to friends about seeing and hearing the Perseid meteor showers, my friends chuckled kindly, patted me on the head and politely assured me that meteors have no sound. So to my doubting pals I say: “Hah!” Thank you for backing me up.
