Airport commission: An “In Brief” item in Wednesday’s California section about the award of a $2.4-million LAX maintenance contract incorrectly said the City Council overturned the Airport Commission’s decision. In fact, the council recommended that the commission consider whether to reopen bidding or uphold its original contract with FMC Technologies.
