Re “Beating genocide in Iraq,” Opinion, March 5
There will be no end to this disaster of our own making as long as there is any evidence of our armed presence in Iraq. Most Iraqis want us out, but we continue to mask our fraudulent occupation with slogans of democracy and freedom.
Like it or not, the reality is this: We leave, and the present carnage will at last be allowed to run its course into the hands of another Saddam Hussein. A stable government and protection for all will be established the dictator’s way, and people will again tolerate it in return for peace. Naturally, we will never stand for that, so here we go again.
