* Philadelphia 9, at Arizona 3: With the Phillies trailing, 3-0, Ryan Howard hit a pinch-hit grand slam in the seventh inning. Jamie Moyer, 44, and Randy Johnson, 43, set a record for combined age between left-handed starters, 88 years and 48 days.
* New York 5, at San Francisco 3: David Wright hit a go-ahead, two-run double in the ninth inning and the Mets rallied to win their second consecutive series.
* Houston 3, at Cincinnati 2: Lance Berkman homered for the third consecutive game and the Astros improved to 7-1 against the Reds, including 5-0 at Great American Ball Park.
* at Chicago 1, Pittsburgh 0: Jason Marquis (5-1) retired the first 16 batters he faced and finished with a three-hitter, winning his fifth consecutive start.
* at St. Louis 9, Colorado 2: Adam Wainwright (3-2) gave up two runs in six innings and the Cardinals scored in multiple innings for the first time in seven games.
* at Atlanta 3, San Diego 2: Chipper Jones and Andruw Jones had run-scoring hits with two outs in the seventh inning for the Braves.
* Dodgers 5, at Florida 3: Brett Tomko, who earned his first victory of the season, took a no-hitter into the sixth inning.
