The truth about Lakers

There’s a reason that Bill Plaschke can’t understand or endorse what Kobe and Phil are saying: They’re speaking the truth.

So Bill Plaschke thinks Phil Jackson should have used his “manners” instead of truthfully addressing the Lakers’ failure to improve their roster, as promised by Mitch Kupchak and Jim Buss? Unfortunately for Lakers fans, the team is headed in the same direction as the Chicago Bulls were the last time Phil didn’t use his manners.

Plaschke’s rant about Phil and Kobe is typical of him spending a lot of time to make a point and still missing it.

Sorry, but the bottom line is this: Phil and Kobe are right. Maybe not necessarily how they said it, but what they said. And frankly, Lakers management does not deserve the privilege of having its ineptitude kept out of the papers and behind closed doors any longer.
