Who would have thought that Ann Coulter and Bill Maher would agree on something? That it is on getting rid of the NEA is surprising.
One expects Ann Coulter to say anything ridiculous to make headlines; but Bill Maher, who I tend to think is pretty smart, showed how dense he can be.
If he can’t see that government funding of the arts makes economic sense (see the more than 30 million annual visitors who flock to Paris in large part because of their art institutions), he’s not just dense, he’s as dumb as she is.
