Highlights: This second annual event celebrates all things culinary and oenophilic with tastings, dinners, walking tours and live music. The Grand Public Tasting brings together more than 30 area winemakers and several local chefs at the Henry Miller Library’s redwood grove.

Wine & Mushroom Fest
When, where: Nov. 4-14, various locations
Highlights: Ten days are packed with more than 100 mushroom-themed events, including entertainment, guided mushroom-hunting tours and epicurean offerings dedicated to the county’s abundant fungi. Attendees can ride the Wine and Mushroom Train through the redwoods, sampling local flavors along the way.

Wine & Food Affair
When, where: Nov. 6 and 7, wineries in Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River valleys
Highlights: During this 12th annual event, wineries offer vintners’ favorite foods paired with their property’s wines.
Cost: $65 for a weekend pass, $45 for Sunday only, $25 for a designated-driver weekend pass

Grooves in the Grove
