Some of Ayn Rand’s key philosophical beliefs, as expressed in “Atlas Shrugged” and other writings:
—The ideal political-economic system is laissez-faire capitalism.
—The pursuit of one’s own self-interest is the highest moral purpose of life.
—Reality exists as an objective absolute — facts are facts, independent of feelings, wishes, hopes or fears.
—There is no God.
